Charlotte went to her first Red Sox game on Saturday night with Dennis and Lori and Emily and Ryan and Mom and Dad. She stayed awake the whole time, way past her bedtime.

We had visitors this past weekend! Dennis, Lori, Emily and Ryan came all the way from San Diego to visit and meet Charlotte. We celebrated Dennis and Brian’s birthday one night. Charlotte loved meeting her cousins and aunt and uncle. We went to the aquarium, walked through the North End to Charlestown and took a water taxi back downtown. We also went to the Public Garden, took a ride on the Swan Boats and walked around the Arboretum. It was a busy few days! The weather was mostly terrible, unfortunately.

Charlotte and Emily played together a lot–Emily helped Charlotte practice creeping around and reaching for toys.

We got Charlotte this playmat so she can roll around on the floor. She was getting too ambitious for the little blankets we were putting on the floor for her to play on. In the past week she has started trying to move herself forward, mostly using her arms to slowly scooch along on her stomach.

Charlotte is loving the jumperoo lately, which works out well for me to take a shower. She has a love/hate relationship with the purple hippo…she always manages to turn herself around so she’s in front of the hippo. But then she gets really mad when she drops it and can’t reach it again. And just today and yesterday she’s been figuring out how to bang it against the side of the jumperoo to make a lot of noise.

Charlotte’s been eating cereal for the past few weeks. It’s quite a messy project. We switched from rice to oatmeal cereal yesterday and she seems to like that a lot better. She makes funny chewing motions a lot lately. She’s also enjoying being in her high chair more and plays with spoons and cups.
