Swaddled no more
Posted on Sunday, April 26th, 2009 at 3:44 pmCharlotte rolled over from her back to her stomach last week, which was a fun milestone except it means we can’t swaddle her anymore, since she could end up trapped on her face. So, we went cold turkey with no swaddle and had one really rough night where she was up every two hours. But it’s gotten better each night, and the last two nights she slept from 8 or 9 till 5 wearing just a sleep sack with her arms free. That is actually better than how she was sleeping before. Naptimes are still hard for her to get and stay asleep unswaddled, although today she fell asleep fine in her crib.

Posted on Saturday, April 18th, 2009 at 8:26 pmWe went to my parents’ last weekend for Charlotte’s first Easter. She got an Easter basket at home and at Nana and Papa’s, with some fun books, bath toys and a stuffed bunny.
Here’s Charlotte with Papa:
Otherwise we’ve been getting out for some nice walks in the spring weather and hanging out in Roslindale. Last night we went out for an early dinner with Charlotte and actually got to sit outside on the patio.
Today Charlotte got dressed up for a birthday party, for my friend Julia’s little boy who turned one.

Posted on Thursday, April 2nd, 2009 at 7:47 pmCharlotte has been very busy sticking her hands in her mouth lately. Her chin, hands and shirt all seem to be covered with drool most of the time. Charlotte is on a pretty good schedule, which has impressed the teachers at daycare. She’s starting to take longer afternoon naps. At night she still gets up once around 1 or 2 to eat, although last weekend she slept 9 hours both nights! It was amazing, but short-lived.
